Two pedestrians were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Monday morning, according to Peel Regional Police.
The collision happened around 9:22 a.m. at the busy intersection of Goreway Drive and Cottrelle Boulevard, close to Castlemore Road. Emergency crews arrived quickly, providing medical assistance before transporting both victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Police immediately closed the southbound lanes of Goreway Drive at Cottrelle to allow investigators to examine the scene and determine what led to the incident. Officers remained on-site for several hours as they collected evidence and assessed the surrounding area.
At this time, authorities have not released information about the ages of the pedestrians or the circumstances that caused the vehicle to strike them. The investigation is still ongoing, and updates are expected as more details become available.
