Good news for people whose travel plans had to be changed or canceled due to the Via Rail shutdown, the Canadian National Railway (CN), announced Via Rail will be resuming some of its services.

As of Thursday, February 20, trains running between Toronto-London-Windsor, Toronto-Sarnia, and Toronto-Niagara will resume running.

However, passengers are advised to prepare for possible delays.

Additionally, there will be a partial resumption of service for trains running between Quebec City-Montreal-Ottawa.

Also starting on February 20, trains 22, 24, 26 and 28, leaving from Ottawa; and trains 33, 35, 37 and 39, leaving from Quebec City, will resume service.

Further, trains that serve full trips between Quebec City and Ottawa will also resume service.
