The chase is on for a sexual predator after a lady was attacked while out for a morning run in Brampton on Wednesday.

Strip Regional police say the 20-year-old victim was going around Professor’s Lake — close Torbram Rd. what’s more, N Park Dr. — when the incident unfurled around 9:45 a.m.

“As she finished her jog, the victim ran through a wooded area on an unpaved trail that isolates the paved trail around the lake and the parking area of the recreational focus,” police said in a statement released Thursday. “While running on the unpaved trail, the Woman tripped and fell to the ground.”

As the lady was getting to her feet, an unidentified man appeared from the woods, grabbed her by the waist and would not give up, police said, adding the victim attempted to fight off the attacker by kicking him.

“The man then picked the victim up and dragged her off the trail and into the wooded area,” police said. “The man pushed the Woman against a tree. His attempt at any further action was interrupted by a witness walking by causing him to flee the area towards the recreational center.”

Police are looking for a man described as black, in his mid-20s, about 6-feet tall, with a medium, muscular build.
