Peel police are investigating after a shooting and robbery at a money-lending business near the Mississauga-Brampton border Thursday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of Morning Star Drive and Jolliffe Avenue in Malton shortly after 1:30 p.m. Police say shots were fired during the incident.
No injuries have been reported, but residents can expect a heavy police presence while investigators work to piece together what happened.
Police say there is no broader threat to public safety at this time.
