A man in his 60s has died following a two-vehicle crash in Brampton on Sunday morning, Peel Regional Police said.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Queen Street and West Drive around 8:23 a.m. after reports of a serious collision.
Police initially said one person had been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A short time later, officers confirmed that the man, who was driving alone in one of the vehicles, had died.
Two women were in the other vehicle, according to police. Peel Paramedics said three people at the scene were assessed for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
The Major Collision Bureau is now investigating the crash.
Westbound lanes of Queen Street between Dixie Road and West Drive were closed around 9:20 a.m. as investigators worked at the scene. Traffic in the area was affected as police investigated the crash.
