Several major roads in Brampton have reopened after a vehicle fleeing police crashed into a light standard in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred around 4:49 a.m. near the intersection of Bramalea Road and Countryside Drive. The fleeing vehicle struck a light post, leading to temporary road closures in the area as crews worked to clear the scene and ensure public safety.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident prompted the closure of multiple routes, including sections of Bramalea Road and Countryside Drive, causing disruptions for early-morning motorists. All affected roads have since reopened, and traffic is flowing normally once again.
