BRAMPTON, ON — Police are investigating another suspected arson after a tow truck was deliberately set on fire outside a home in Brampton.

The blaze broke out around 3 a.m. in a driveway on Ascot Road, near Balmoral Drive and Dixie Road. Officers responding to the scene quickly determined the fire was intentionally set.

The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to assist with the investigation, as authorities work to determine the cause and any possible links.

Video from the scene shows intense flames engulfing the front of the tow truck.

🚨 This marks the latest in a troubling string of fires tied to the tow truck industry across Peel Region. Just days earlier, multiple tow trucks were set ablaze in Brampton within a short time frame.

At this point, no suspect information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
