At least 3 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries
Small but at times mighty storms have been contacting down in a few Quebec regions tonight, as Environment Canada issued an extreme thunderstorm warning to oblige the warmth cautioning in southern Quebec.
The alarm warns of solid wind gusts, nickel-sized hail, and heavy rain this evening and night.
One zone has just been hit harder than others. Quebec provincial police speculate a small tornado contacted down in Lac-aux-Sables, north of Trois-Rivières.
At any rate, three individuals were taken to a medical clinic with minor wounds, and around 50 abodes were harmed by the solid breezes.
Police say a campground and a number of cottages were hit by the winds. They say one camper was lifted off the ground and landed on another, but both were empty.
High winds caused power outages for thousands of Hydro-Québec customers in Montreal, Laval, and the Montérégie and Lanaudière regions.
The storm watch covers the Montreal area, Vaudreuil, Richelieu Valley, Lanaudière, Lachute and Saint-Jérôme.
