Construction is now underway on a 260,000-square-foot manufacturing and research facility in Brampton, which will serve as the Canadian headquarters for Mobile Climate Control (MCC). The $ 120 million investment is expected to create more than 550 jobs, with Brampton’s economic development office projecting that the total could exceed 700 positions.
The new facility, located at 8386 Highway 50, will support advanced manufacturing, engineering, research, and logistics operations. Construction began in September and is slated for completion by the end of the year, with the site expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2027.
MCC says hiring plans will be finalized closer to completion, with roles anticipated across engineering, production, assembly, machine operation, welding, and supply chain management. City officials say the project will boost local employment, strengthen Brampton’s tax base, and support collaboration with local suppliers, school,s and workforce development programs, reinforcing the city’s growing role as a hub for innovation and industrial growth.
