Brams United Girls Soccer Club History

Brams United Girls Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization form June 1, 1978. Until 1978, there was no separate girls’ soccer club in Brampton, and the girls who wanted to play were placed on teams within the mixed girls/boys clubs. Some of the parents formed the opinion that the girls were being treated as “second-class” members of the clubs, and decided to form a separate club for girls only. “Brams” signified the combination of Brampton and Bramalea.

“United” signified the club was not intended to separate Brampton into two distinct areas. Brams United is proud to serve the Brampton and Ontario Soccer community as the leading female soccer club. Within the 40+ years of operating, the Club has won 18 Provincial Titles, along with 1 National title, and over 100 players have earned scholarships throughout North America.
