A major U.S.-based plastics manufacturer has announced it will be closing its Brampton facility—its only Canadian location—by June 2026.
Revere Plastics Systems LLC, a Michigan-based company, confirmed that around 50 employees will be affected by the shutdown. In a statement released on Nov. 17, the company said ongoing financial pressures have made it difficult for the Brampton plant to remain sustainable.
Revere did not provide further details about the challenges but emphasized that it “deeply values” the work of its Brampton team. The company says it will support employees throughout the transition.

“Closing a plant with such history is an incredibly tough decision,” said CEO Kevin Kernan, praising the dedication and craftsmanship of the local team.
Operations will continue normally until June 2026, and employees will remain under their current terms during the transition period.
Revere Plastics Systems provides injection moulding and assembly services to sectors like automotive, appliances, and consumer goods. The company employs over 1,200 people across six U.S. facilities and one in Mexico.
