Many Canadian workers stress even before they arrive in the workplace.
A new survey from staffing firm Robert Half finding that more than a third of Canadian professionals find the way to and from work is stressful, and more fractions felt too long. That’s up from one in four two years ago.
Alternating the average of those surveyed was 53 minutes. More than a quarter of Canadians say their travel time exceeds one hour each way.
The survey looked at 500 workers 18 and older who work in an office environment, as well as more than 600 managers.
Some say the company they work for has flexible working hours and off-peak commute options, which says the company makes a difference in the level of employee stress.
