Four-alarm fire knocked down in North York home

Toronto put out four fire alarms broke out in a house in North York.

Toronto fire said they were called around 9 pm. for a fire report at the residence on Altamont Road, west of Yonge St. and Finch Avenue.

The house was reportedly empty and under construction.

Spectator pictures show thick smoke billowing out of the house.

After an hour later, Fire Chief Matthew Pegg tweeted that “the main body of the 4th alarm on Altamont Road was torn down.”

Pegg added that the crew would remain on location for several hours.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Fire investigators have been notified.

Altamont Road is closed in both directions from Finch to Hendon.
