Two Charged with Murder After Deadly Stabbing Shocks Brampton Community

Police have arrested and charged two people in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Brampton, Ont.

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to a home near Main Street North and Church Street East early Friday morning after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found the man inside the residence with serious stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say a 26-year-old man from Mississauga and a 31-year-old woman from Brampton were also inside the home at the time of the incident. Both have now been charged with second-degree murder.

The two accused are expected to appear in a Brampton court on Monday for bail hearings.

Police say the stabbing appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
