Team Canada Announces Lineup vs Denmark for Final World Juniors Pre-Tournament Game

Team Canada faces Denmark tonight in its final pre-tournament game ahead of the 2026 World Junior Championship. With no new NHL additions expected, this matchup offers the clearest picture yet of how Canada will line up when the tournament begins on Boxing Day.

The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET in Mankato, Minnesota.

Canada has made a few notable lineup tweaks, including a swap between Tij Iginla and Gavin McKenna, and a strong look at its 2026 NHL Draft-eligible defencemen, with Carson Carels moving into the top four.

This game wraps up Canada’s tune-up schedule before games start to count, as the team prepares for a tough group that includes Czechia, Latvia, Denmark, and Finland.

The World Juniors begin Friday, Dec. 26, with Canada opening against Czechia.
