Easter Weekend 2026: What’s Open and Closed Across Brampton

Businesses and services across Brampton will see several closures over the Easter long weekend from April 3 to April 6.

Most major malls, including Bramalea City Centre and Shoppers World Brampton, along with retailers like Costco, will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Government offices, banks, libraries, and ServiceOntario locations will also be shut, along with no mail delivery from Canada Post.

Alcohol retailers, including the LCBO and The Beer Store, will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday but open on Saturday. Most Region of Peel services will also be unavailable, though the Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives will reopen for parts of the weekend.

Some restaurants, pharmacies, and smaller grocery stores may remain open, but residents are encouraged to call ahead before heading out.

Transit will run on a holiday schedule: Brampton Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. At the same time, GO Transit will follow a Saturday schedule on Good Friday.

On Easter Monday, most services begin to reopen, including malls, banks, grocery stores, and the LCBO, while transit returns to a regular weekday schedule.
