Brampton Truck Driver Killed in Tragic Saskatchewan Highway Rollover

BRAMPTON, ON — A 26-year-old Brampton man has tragically lost his life after the transport truck he was driving rolled over on the Trans-Canada Highway in southwest Saskatchewan early Monday morning.

Emergency crews raced to the scene after a rollover was reported around 1:45 a.m. near the Village of Chaplin, where a semi-truck had overturned. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have confirmed the victim was from Brampton but have not released his identity out of respect for the family, who have been notified.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. RCMP collision reconstruction specialists are investigating what led to the fatal rollover, and authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing.
