BRAMPTON, ON – Peel Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 19-year-old Kaleb Kimotho of Brampton in connection with an attempted murder investigation stemming from a shooting that seriously injured two people earlier this year.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on April 6 near 1020 Central Park Drive. Two victims were sitting inside a vehicle when Kimotho and another suspect allegedly climbed into the back seat. As the vehicle began moving, Kimotho was accused of opening fire inside the vehicle, striking both victims. Both suffered serious injuries and were taken for medical treatment.
Kimotho is wanted on multiple charges, including attempted murder with a firearm, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, and several firearm possession offences.
Police describe him as a Black male, approximately 5’8″ tall, 130 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.
Investigators warn that Kimotho should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
Police are also encouraging Kimotho to seek legal counsel and surrender to authorities as the investigation continues.
