If you’ve been impatiently awaiting an order from the OCS, you are not alone—and your wait is almost over. The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) says it has cleared its order backlog and is committed on “continuous improvement.”
“Since October 17, the Ontario Cannabis Store has gotten more than 220,000 client orders and has worked 24/7, to get arranges out to clients,” the OCS said in a recent news release.
“While at first looked with a backlog in satisfying and shipping orders to clients, the OCS has now caught up on all orders received and is focused on continuing to enhance its retail experience for clients.”
The Ontario Cannabis Store has had a rough few weeks.
The commonly run organization says it was looked with a backlog of requests that were delayed because of naming issues with a few items it got from licensed producers.
Delays were likewise caused by rotating Canada Post strikes.
“The OCS values clients’ patience in the over the last few weeks as we worked cooperatively with authorized producers to determine the initial challenges of launching a new business,” said Patrick Ford, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Cannabis Store.
“Presently with the backlog of orders cleared, we are moving forward and coming back to our 1-3 business day delivery expectation. Our top priority is to continuously improve the client retail experience for the numerous Ontarians that are purchasing safe, quality recreational cannabis items from the OCS.”
While starting labeling issues have been settled with authorized producers, ongoing rotating postal strikes may continue to delay deliveries to some customers, the Ontario Cannabis Store says.
The OCS says it’s working closely with licensed producers to extend the assortment of recreational cannabis products available through OCS.ca and guarantee product availability.
