Winter isn’t coming…it’s Here. Environment Canada has issued a travel advisory warning in effect for this evening. Snow will continue through tonight and into early Friday morning. Snowfall of 5 to 10 cm is expected over the area, with most of the snow falling today around evening time. Poor winter driving conditions are expected. Untreated streets may move toward becoming snow covered and slippery.
Weather advisory in effect for:
- Burlington – Oakville
- Halton Hills – Milton
- Mississauga – Brampton
This snow impacts affected the drive tonight and may perhaps affect the Friday regular drive also. Drivers should get ready for extra time to reach their destination.
This is the biggest snowfall event so far this season and the first significant snowfall for some parts of the Golden Horseshoe.
The snow will become mixed with rain on Friday as temperatures edge over the zero degrees mark.
This snow is related to an extending low-pressure system moving along the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.
