Brampton mayoral candidate Patrick Brown married Genevieve Gualtieri in a private wedding Sunday in Kleinburg.
The happy couple tied the knot in a small ceremony at the historic Doctor’s House venue in Kleinburg in front of family and close friends.
Brown said the ceremony was conducted by Gualtieri’s childhood priest from Mississauga. Dignitaries and friends, including former premier Bill Davis, Sen. Salma Ataullahjan, Sen. Victor Oh and Peter Mackay joined the couple to celebrate their big day.
Brown said he and Gualtieri met in 2014 at a reception of the Mississauga Lakeshore PC riding association when she was bartending at the fundraiser.
The couple will host a larger wedding celebration on Oct. 8 at Lionhead Golf Club & Conference Centre in Brampton.
