BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton is excited to announce Juno-assigned artist Shawn Hook as the main event for Brampton New Year’s Eve 2018.
The live show, curated with help from Brampton’s SounDrive Records, will take place at Garden Square from 8 pm to midnight on Monday, December 31.
Live entertainment at Brampton New Year’s Eve 2018
The show will include the Julian Taylor Band, and also Brampton-based artists, Raz, Melle Rose, and DJ Tam. Two energizing firecrackers shows, introduced by Tim Hortons, will occur at both 9 pm and midnight.
DJ Tam will commence the gathering in Garden Square at 8 pm, followed by Melle Rose. The first of two fireworks show is set for 9 pm for those needing to ring in the New Year somewhat prior at night. Live excitement proceeds at 9:10 pm with Raz, followed by the Julian Taylor Band.
Canadian pop icon and Brampton New Year’s Eve main event Shawn Hook will make that big appearance soon after 11 pm, paving the way to the countdown to midnight and other firecrackers show at mid.
About Shawn Hook
Canadian pop singer-lyricist Shawn Hook is no more peculiar to electrifying crowds. His debut single “Sound of Your Heart” is presently confirmed Platinum in Canada. His Hollywood Records debut EP My Side of Your Story demonstrates his style for musical and emotional colors, and his single, “Reminding Me,” has officially drawn national attention. SHook has collaborated with big names in the industry such as artist Vanessa Hudgens, Ryan Tedder of One Republic and songwriter Ammar Malik. He has additionally visited the U.S., Canada, and Europe with Lindsay Stirling and Marianas Trench, and marked with Hollywood Records/Universal Music Canada.
About the Julian Taylor Band
The Julian Taylor Band is from Toronto and plays out a blend of soul, funk, and rock. Julian Taylor himself is the evening host for the brand new Indigenous-owned Toronto radio station ELMNT FM. He’s been nominated for different Indigenous music Marianas, and a year ago he sang in front of an audience with Marianas Trench at the National Aboriginal Day televised event in Halifax.
About Raz
Hip-hop artist Raz is a famous entertainer here in Brampton, having accepted the stage as an opening go about as a major aspect of Garden Square’s Friday Night Live music series in 2018. He is currently working on a soon-to-be-released EPand frequently has an acoustic guitar in front of an audience as the impact of his show at Brampton New Year’s Eve 2018.
Family-friendly activities
Family-friendly entertainment at City Hall will occur from 6:30 pm to 9 pm with a live move party in the Conservatory and a meandering performer and warming zone in the Atrium. Families are encouraged to get the early firecrackers to appear at 9 pm at Garden Square when the party at City Hall wraps up.
Ahead of the concert, everybody is urged to visit Gage Park to see thousands of sparkling winter lights and skate on the trail.
